Yeshua HaMashiach (Yeshua The Messiah).
Came into the earth soon after Gaius Julius_Caesar took over power as Roman emperor. He invaded Britannia – present day Britain, which comprised of England and Wales in the year 54 and 55 BC – before Christ (The Anointed One), as part of his Gallic Wars.
According to Caesar, Britannia had been overrun or culturally assimilated by other Celtic tribes during the British Iron Age and had been aiding Caesar’s enemies.

Note: Britannia (England and Wales) was formally colonised by the Roman Empire in the year of our Lord – ado Domini (AD) 43 to 410. Island of Britannia was subject to barbarian invasions and often came under the control of imperial usurpers and imperial pretenders.

 

 

The Tudors.
The tudors of Penmynydd (in Welsh: Tuduriaid Penmynydd) were the senior line of a noble and aristocratic family, connected with the village of Penmynydd in Anglesey, North Wales.
The Tudors – a Welsh-English family that ruled England and Wales from 1485 to 1603, starting with the first monarch; King Henry VII (1457–1509). The Tudors ruled for 118 years and Tudor England saw two of the strongest monarchs ever to sit on the English throne: King Henry VIII and his daughter Queen Elizabeth I.

He was the second Tudor monarch who succeeded his father, King Henry Vll. He married six times. He was very determined to annul his marriage to Queen Catherine of Aragon-his brother; Arthur’s widow, so as to wed his mistress, Anne Boleyn which the Pope resisted.
He is known for ushering the divine rights of kings in England. King Henry appointed himself, the supreme head of the church of England the mother church of the international Anglican Communion, which he founded. Along with his official, he re-wrote the bible in English.

Were converted from paganism to believers in YHWH into His Son, Lord Yeshua Hamashiach by Augustinian mission, sent by Pope Gregory in 596.AD. The mission was headed by Saint Augustine of Canterbury. By the time the last missionary had died, in the middle ages, 653 AD, the mission had established believers in YHWH through our Lord Yeshua HaMaschiac in southern Britain. The Augustinian mission came together with the Hiberno-Scottish mission* to convert other parts of Britain and the European continent. Hiberno- Scottish mission was a series of missions and expeditions initiated by various Irish clerics and cleric-scholars.

 

Yoshua or Yahushua.
According to Eliya “there is no “J” sound in Hebrew.” The “J” with its “J” sound did not come into the English language until about 500 years ago. Lord Yeshua, his brother Jacob etc, apostle Yochanan and other ten disciples were all Hebrew and had Hebrew names at the time Roman Empire ruled.

Name Changed.
Who changed the name of our Lord Yeshua Hamaschiac and his eleven apostles? If various gods of Europe, Asia, Africa, etc still retain their authentic names, why do we have to call the saviour of man by a different name? YHWH-The Most High God gave him The Name “Yeshua Hamaschiac”. If every scripture is God breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, correction and for instruction in righteousness, that each person who belongs to God maybe complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work-2nd timothy 3 v16-17. Why are majority of believers in YHWH not equipped when they call on jesus or are they calling on a different name? YHWH is so merciful, for he honoured His believers even in their ignorance, but shall believers continue in ignorance? For centuries now, most believers have fallen from the standard ABBA set. Have believers wondered “why these signs shall follow them that believe” do not follow majority of them?
The truth is our Lord Yeshua HaMaschiac was born at the time Gaius Caesar became an emperor, He was tried by the governor of Judea- Pontius Pilate, He died for our sin, He is the lamb that took away the sins of the world. He ascended to heaven in full view of His followers. He is the One who gave us all the promises we stand on. The benefits that we receive from The Most High God is through our Lord Yeshua HaMaschiac, by whose stripes we were healed.

Majority of us will sue anyone who dares to steal our intellectual property. Since the Bible was re-written decades ago, the names of the saviour of the earth, His apostles including great biblical heroes such as Mosheh- Moses, Avraham (Abraham), etc were all changed. Most clergies are aware of these but they refused to inform their members out of fear. I urge all believers to call on The Name that is above every other name Lord Yeshua HaMaschiac.) Blessed be His name.
Chukwuemeka will not allow you to refer to him in your native tongue. The name, Charles in Latin Is Carolus. Yet this popular name has retained its originality in English. The Latinos answers Carolus, men from English-speaking nation around the globe answer “Charles.”

In conclusion, after reading this article, you do not have any excuse to ever again call The Lord and Saviour of man any other name, other than His authentic name Lord Yeshua Hamaschiac.

Microfinance: Creating Opportunity for the Poor.

Microfinance is an emerging phenomenon that opens access to capital for individuals previously shut out from financial services. In its direct engagement with the poor, microfinance represents a new way for financial capital to potentially stimulate economic growth in developing countries. However microfinance is poorly understood, and it remains unclear whether it delivers on its promises. The goal of this paper is to introduce the topic of microfinancing to a wider audience of management researchers and to identify opportunities for future research in this new and growing area.

Microfinance is poorly understood in developing nations, such as Nigeria, therefore it does not and cannot deliver on its promises. The above definition of Microfinance by Susan Khavi is the definition of most banking organizations in Nigeria, which offer capital for middle class previously shut out from such financial services. According to Susan Khavi “Microfinance spans a range of financial instruments including credit, savings, insurance, mortgages, and retirement plans, all of which are denominated in small amounts, making them accessible to individuals previously shut out from formal means of borrowing and saving.” The most widespread microfinancing instrument is micro-lending or micro-credit- the lending of little amounts of money at low interest rate to the ‘very poor’ in Nigeria.

Images of poverty are ubiquitous. For decades, poverty alleviation has topped the international development agenda. United Nations Millennium Goals state that by 2015 the number of people living in extreme poverty should be half of what it was in 2000 (World Bank, 2000). How-ever, the tools for creating economic growth to move people out of poverty has been hard to come by. Microfinance is now promoted as ameans to solve the crushing poverty that faces atleast a third of the world’s population. Microfinance spans a range of financial instruments including credit, savings, insurance, mortgages, andretirement plans, all of which are denominated in small amounts, making them accessible to indi-viduals previously shut out from formal means of borrowing and saving. The most widespread mi-crofinancing instrument is

microlending,which is the issuance of small, unsecuredloans to individuals or groups for the purpose of starting or expanding businesses. Microfinancing aims to alleviate poverty by stimulating economic growth through entrepreneurial initiative. The availability of microcredit has opened access to capital, through billions of dollars in small loans,to millions of the world’s poorest citizens.As it has grown, microfinancing has also opened the floodgates of international financialcapital. Perhaps the best-known microfinancing organization is Grameen Bank, which, along withits founder Mohammad Yunus, won the 2006 No-bel Peace Prize for establishing a microcredit program in Bangladesh. In more than 30 years,Grameen Bank has disbursed $9.1 billion in loansand expanded to 37 countries. Notably, 97% of Grameen Bank’s clients are women.

In ancient Hebrew period, youth in most homes married very early. Marriages were usually contracted within the narrow circle of the clan and the family. It was undesirable to marry a woman from a foreign clan, lest she introduce foreign beliefs and practices.

 

Negotiating a Match

As a rule, the fathers arranged the match. The girl was consulted, but the “calling of the damsel and inquiring at her mouth” after the conclusion of all negotiations was merely a formality.
In those days a father was more concerned about the marriage of his sons than about the marriage of his daughters. No expense was involved in marrying off a daughter. The father received a dowry for his daughter whereas he had to give a dowry to the prospective father-in-law of his son when marrying him off.
The price paid by the father of the groom to the father of the bride was called mohar. (The term continues to be included in the text of the traditional ketubah, or Jewish wedding contract.) In Genesis (Parashat Vayishlah), Shekhem [Dinah’s suitor] said to Dinah’s father and her brothers: “Let me find favor in your eyes, and what ye shall say unto me I will give. Ask me never so much mohar and mattan, and I will give according as ye shall say unto me; but give me the damsel to wife.”

“Mattan” was the Hebrew word for the gifts given by the groom to the bride in addition to the mohar.
The mohar was not always paid in cash. Sometimes it was paid in kind, or in service. The Book of Genesis relates the story of the servant of Abraham, who, after his request for Rebecca [to marry Isaac] was granted, “brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebecca; he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things.” The servant thus gave mattan to Rebecca, and mohar to her brother and mother.
The Bible does not specify what was to be done with the mohar in case the marriage agreement was broken by either of the two parties.

 

Mohar as Purchase and Gift

The mohar was originally the purchase price of the bride, and it is therefore understandable why it was paid by the father of the groom to the father of the bride. In ancient days, marriage was not an agreement between two individuals, but between two families.


The newly married man usually did not found a new home for himself, but occupied a nook in his father’s house. The family of the groom gained, and the family of the bride lost, a valuable member who helped with all household tasks. It was reasonable, therefore, that the father of the groom should pay the father of the bride the equivalent of her value as a useful member of the family.
Yet in the course of time the mohar lost its original meaning as a purchase price paid to the father for his daughter and assumed the significance of a gift to the near relatives of the bride. As far back as in early biblical times, it was customary for a good father to give the whole of the mohar or at least a large part of it to his daughter. A father who appropriated the whole mohar for himself was considered unkind and harsh.
The portion of the mohar which the bride received from her father, and the mattan, which the groom presented to her, were not the only possessions she brought to matrimony. A rich father sometimes gave his daughter a field or other landed property as well as female slaves.
Betrothal and the Wedding
Until late in the Middle Ages, marriage consisted of two ceremonies that were marked by celebrations at two separate times, with an interval between. First came the betrothal [erusin]; and later, the wedding [nissuin]. At the betrothal the woman was legally married, although she still remained in her father’s house. She could not belong to another man unless she was divorced from her betrothed. The wedding meant only that the betrothed woman, accompanied by a colorful procession, was brought from her father’s house to the house of her groom, and the legal tie with him was consummated.
This division of marriage into two separate events originated in very ancient times when marriage was a purchase, both in its outward form and in its inner meaning. Woman was not recognized as a person but was bought in marriage, like chattel.
Marriage, as with any type of purchase, consisted of two acts. First the price was paid and an agreement reached on the conditions of sale. Sometime later the purchaser took possession of the object. In marriage, the mohar was paid and a detailed agreement reached between the families of the bride and groom. This betrothal was followed by the wedding, when the bride was brought into the home of the groom, who took actual possession of her.
In those days the betrothal was the more important of these two events and maintained its importance as long as marriage was actually based upon a purchase. But as women assumed more importance as individuals, and marriage ceased to be a purchase, attaining moral significance, the actual wedding became more important than the betrothal.

 


Preparation of Yam Chips and Fresh Pepper & Onion Sauce*.

Yam Chips.

Take a tuber of yam, slice them in a shape of your choice, preferably long.
Add salt.

Pour groundnut oil into your deep fryer.
If you prefer frying pan, place the pan on your gas cooker, wait until the water in the pan has dried up.
Pour enough oil into the pan.
When the oil is hot, scoop some quantities of yam chips into the pan.
Do not wait until it’s brownish.
Switch off the deep fryer. Remove the inner basket, hang it on the fryer until the oil drains off. If you prefer frying pan, lower or switch of your stove.
Scoop the crunchy fried yam into a basket.

Preparation of Fresh Pepper Sauce.*

– Blend your fresh tomatoes, onions and pepper lightly.
– Switch on your gas cooker. Place a pan on fire, wait until it’s dry.
– Pour enough groundnut oil into the pot.
– Add blended tomatoes, onion and pepper.
– when it’s hot, allow it to fry for some time.
– Add your seasoning.
– Fry for few seconds and put off the stove.

Serve with any meat or fish of your choice (not compulsory).

“A family that consists of two adults, the child or children that they have had together, and one or more children that they have had with previous parents.” Blended family are great families. Just like the regular type of family, where children are from same parents; it is not easy to manage. You have to be patient, loving, understanding, selfless and prayerful. When you decide to marry a partner who already have a child or children with someone else, humble yourself a bit. It may take the child quite sometime to like you. Your spouse maybe deeply in love with you, with or without these qualities, but your ability to show love towards your children will draw him closer to you.
Understand that when you decide to blend your family, children from previous union has to be co-parented. There should not be preferential treatment. When there is arguments among your children, be fair.

The key to a successful blended family is love.

A Bed -time Story. Queen Hadassah and King Achashverosh.


In the time of Achashverosh, the Achashverosh who ruled over 127 provinces from India to Ethiopia. It was in those days, when King Achashverosh sat on his royal throne in Shushan the capital, in the third year of his reign, that he gave a banquet for all his officials and courtiers. The army of Persia and Media, the nobles and the provincial officials were in attendance. He displayed the dazzling wealth of his kingdom and his great splendor for a long time, 180 days. At the end of that time, the king gave a seven-day banquet in the courtyard of the royal palace garden for all the people, both great and small, there in Shushan the capital.

On the seventh day, when the king was in high spirits from the wine, he ordered Memukhan, Bizta, Harvona, Bigta, Avagta, Zetar and Karkas, the seven officers who attended him, to bring Queen Vashti before the king with the royal crown, in order to show the people and the officials her beauty, for she was indeed a good-looking woman. But Queen Vashti refused to come at the order of the king, which he had sent through his officers. This enraged the king — his anger blazed inside him.
As was the king’s custom, he consulted sages well-versed in matters of law and justice. With him were Karshna, Shetar, Admata, Tarshish, Meres, Marsna and Memukhan, the seven vice-regents of Persia and Media, who were part of the king’s inner circle and were the most important officials in the kingdom. [The king asked the sages,] “According to the law, what should we do to Queen Vashti, since she didn’t obey the order of King Achashverosh conveyed by the officers?”
Memukhan presented the king and vice-regents this answer: “Vashti the queen has wronged not only the king, but also all the officials and all the peoples in all the provinces of King Achashverosh; because this act of the queen’s will become known to all the women, who will then start showing disrespect toward their own husbands; they will say, ‘King Achashverosh ordered Vashti the queen to be brought before him, but she wouldn’t come.’ Moreover, the noble ladies of Persia and Media who hear of the queen’s conduct will mention it to all the king’s officials, which will bring about no end of disrespect and discord. If it pleases his majesty, let him issue a royal decree — and let it be written as one of the laws of the Persians and Medes, which are irrevocable — that Vashti is never again to be admitted into the presence of King Achashverosh, and that the king give her royal position to someone better than her. The king was pleased with this advice, and asked Memukhan to send letters to all the provinces.
After sometime, when the king anger had subsided, he instructed his servants to search for young, good-looking virgins. The king should appoint officials in all the provinces of the kingdom to gather all the young, good-looking virgins to the house for the harem, in Shushan the capital. They should be put under the care of Hegai the king’s officer in charge of the women, and he should give them the cosmetics they require. Then, the girl who seems best to the king should become queen instead of Vashti.” This proposal pleased the king, so he acted accordingly.

Mordekhai had raised Hadassah, his uncle’s daughter; because she had neither father nor mother. The girl was shapely and good-looking; after her father’s and mother’s death, Mordekhai had adopted her as his own daughter.

When the king’s order and decree were proclaimed, and many girls assembled in Shushan the capital under the care of Hegai, Hadassah too was taken into the king’s house and put under the care of Hegai, who was in charge of the women. The girl pleased him and won his favor, so that he lost no time in giving her cosmetics, her portions [of special food] and seven girls from the king’s palace to attend her; he also promoted her and the girls attending her to the best place in the harem’s quarters. Hadassah did not disclose her people or family ties, because Mordekhai had instructed her not to tell anyone. Every day Mordekhai would walk around in front of the courtyard of the harem’s house in order to know how Hadassah was doing and what was happening to her.
Each girl had her turn to appear before King Achashverosh after she had undergone the full twelve-month preparation period prescribed for the women, consisting of a six-month treatment with oil of myrrh and cosmetics. Then, when the girl went to see the king, whatever she wanted would be given to her as she went from the harem’s house to the king’s palace. She would go in the evening, and on the following day she would return to another part of the harem’s house and be under the care of Sha‘ashgaz the king’s officer in charge of the concubines. She would not go to the king again unless he was especially pleased with her and had her summoned by name.
When the turn came for Hadassah the daughter of Avichayil, whom Mordekhai had adopted as his own daughter, to appear before the king, she didn’t ask for anything other than what Hegai the king’s officer in charge of the harem advised. Yet Hadassah was admired by all who saw her. She was brought to King Achashverosh in his royal palace in the tenth month, Tevet, during the seventh year of his reign. The king liked Hadassah more than any of his wives; none of the other virgins obtained such favor and approval from him. So he put the royal crown on her head and made her queen in place of Vashti.
The king then gave a great banquet in honour of Hadassah for all his officers and servants, decreed a holiday for the provinces and distributed giftsworthy of royal bounty.
